Arctic landscapes are some of the most stunning on earth. Winter brings darkness, but it also brings sunsets and sunrises that bath the snow in polar pink and blue light for hours on end. Summer brings eternal light and other odd experiences. I remember my first encounter with the midnight sun, in Reykjavik. The statuesque Hallgrímskirkja church was bathed in golden light, while a couple of revelers stumbled in the street after a night out, even though it felt like it was lunchtime.

In sharing these photographs I’ve taken during my travels up north, I hope to shed a little bit of light on life and landscape in the Arctic.

More of my photos from the Arctic and beyond can be found on my instagram account and Flickr page.
